Equipment Rental FAQ
Who can rent from RentX?
We serve both homeowners and contractors across East Texas. Whether you’re tackling a weekend project or managing a job site, we’ve got the right equipment and support to help you work efficiently.
Do I need a business license or insurance to rent?
Not necessarily. Most homeowners and DIY customers don’t need special insurance, but if you're using the equipment commercially or transporting it, some rentals may require proof of insurance. We’ll walk you through what’s needed when you reserve.
How does delivery work?
We deliver straight to your job site, on time and ready to go. Just tell us when and where. We’ll also pick it up when you're done. If you prefer, you can always pick it up from our Lindale yard.
Can I return equipment after hours?
Yes, we offer after-hours return options. Just give us a heads-up so we can coordinate with your schedule.
What if I need the equipment longer than planned?
No problem, just call us. We’re happy to extend your rental if the equipment is still available. It’s always best to let us know before your return time to avoid late fees.
Is your equipment clean and serviced?
Yes. We inspect and service every machine before it goes out. Clean, job-ready equipment is our standard, so you don’t lose time dealing with issues.
Do I need to clean or refuel equipment before return?
Yes, please return equipment with a full tank of fuel and free from heavy dirt or debris. This helps us keep things running smoothly for everyone. If equipment comes back damaged, dirty, or missing parts, additional charges may apply.
What happens if the equipment breaks or malfunctions during use?
If something happens to the equipment, stop using it immediately and contact us. Don’t attempt to fix it yourself. We’ll repair or replace the equipment if possible and get you back up and running quickly.
What areas do you serve?
We’re based in Lindale, TX, and serve all of East Texas, including Tyler, Mineola, Van, Hideaway, and surrounding areas. If you’re within driving distance, we’ll get you taken care of.
What if I’ve never used this kind of equipment before?
We’re happy to walk you through how to use it safely. Our team knows the gear and the work, it’s part of what sets us apart. Just ask when you pick up or schedule delivery.
